The Farmhouse

Welcome to The Farmhouse

Marston Lodge Farmhouse is a traditional farmhouse situated on a private Estate in the heart of the Vale of York.

The Farmhouse is perfectly situated just 7 miles from York to the East and 7 miles from the market town of Wetherby to the West. Located in the centre of a private Estate surrounded by idyllic arable pasture. If you are looking for the place to get away from it all, this is it.

The Farmhouse is one of three properties at Marston Lodge Farm. A traditional farmhouse sleeping 8. The master suite has a super-king bed with an ensuite. A further double ensuite and 2 twin bedrooms sharing a family bathroom. Large living kitchen with a large island and range cooker. At one end of the kitchen is a log burner and seating for 8. Double aspect views overlooking the landscaped courtyard and private garden with access directly from the kitchen. The ground floor also has a cosy family snug with log burner and 50″ Smart TV. An idyllic setting to base yourself for a Yorkshire holiday discovering everything God’s own country has to offer. Dog friendly. Maximum 2 dogs permitted per stay. There is an additional cost of £40 per dog. Private Hot Tub.

Private catering and babysitting also available on request. Please request our Approved suppliers list, all external suppliers must get prior approval in advance. 


Sleeps 8. Master ensuite with super-king. French double bed and ensuite. Two super-king zip & link bedrooms with family bathroom. Large living kitchen with island and bar seating, range cooker, and built in appliances. Kitchen seating for 8 and log burner. Access directly into the private garden. Cosy family living room with log burner and 50″ Smart TV. Wifi throughout. Utility and downstairs cloakroom.

The Farmhouse is situated in the centre of a private 3000 acre Estate. There is so much to explore. Incredible wildlife, especially birdlife. There is a resident barn owl who raises her chicks here each year. You will also see a peregrine falcon, buzzards, kites and peewits and many more. The Estate is an arable farm so there will be tractors and combines working in the fields throughout the year.

There is a hot tub available for your personal use. You must sign the hot tub agreement on booking the property. Towels are not provided for the hot tub, please bring your own towels.

Private catering and babysitting also available on request. 


Marston Lodge has been a great home from home for our family. It has recently been fully renovated so it is well-appointed and cosy in the winter months with the added bonus of 2 wood burning stoves for the really chilly evenings.  The large kitchen diner is ideal for entertaining and makes for a flexible living space for a family especially with the kitchen island to sit around. It is set in beautiful surroundings, with wonderful views over open countryside. It also has an easy-to-maintain sizeable garden with terrace and an outdoor storage shed. Its rural location means that a huge variety of wildlife can be seen literally outside the back door!

The Granary

The Granary is a stunning barn conversion completed in June 2019.

The Granary was renovated and finished in 2019 from once a grain store and livestock barn into a beatufilly designed barn conversion. The Granary sleeps 12 comfortably. There are 4 super-king ensuite bedrooms and a fabulous 'dorm' with 4 adult size single beds. Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor with large living kitchen comfortably seating 12 around the oak kitchen table. Large open plan living area with L-shaped sofa situated around a large log burner, 50" Smart TV and a built-in bar. The perfect place to celebrate large gatherings for friends and family. Private garden and communal courtyard. Dog friendly. Private hot tub.

Dovecote Barn

Dovecote Barn

Dovecote Barn was renovated and completed in 2018.  Once a cattle barn and dovecote and now a beautifully renovated barn conversion. Dovecote Barn sleeps 8 comfortably. 1 super-king master ensuite bedroom, 1 king ensuite, 1 king and 1 twin bedded room sharing the family bathroom.  Underfloor heating throughout the living area. Large entrance hall and boot room which leads onto a large open plan kitchen living room. A fabulous kitchen with seating for 10 in the dining area. The L-shaped sofa surrounds a large log burner and creates a fantastic area to relax and watch television or read a book. 50” Smart TV and Sonos music system. Large bi-folding doors open onto a large terrace and extensive south-west facing garden. A courtyard door leads from the dining area onto the centralised courtyard. There is also a large utility and ground floor cloakroom. Private hot tub.
